More than a dozen IB juniors and seniors volunteer as tutors each afternoon at the Fairhope/Point Clear Rotary Youth Club, working with club members K-12 on math, reading, science and more.
Incoming 8th grade Pre-IB students are welcomed to the program each year with a "tapping" induction ceremony in March. Sophomore and Junior IB students travel to Fairhope Middle School to tap the newest IB class, who then join faculty for lunch and a tour of the High School.
Each year before Christmas holidays, the previous year’s IB graduates return from college to reconnect and receive their IB diplomas at a luncheon with faculty and current students.
The MTF College Bound BBQ hosted pre-IB freshmen and sophomores to begin exploring their college journey, with a college “tailgate” celebration and dinner at the home of IB parents Amy & Jay Thompson.
