IB Spanish students spent ten days in Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands with the “Me to We” internationalservice learning program, led by Dianne Bernasconi. The group spent a week in the Andes at 14,000 feet – working in a village in the Chimborazo province on construction of a school and learning about farming, the alpaca trade and looming with craftswomen. The lifetime adventure ended in the renowned Galapagos Islands – exploring the biodiversity and ancient tortoises from which the islands got their name.
