The Numbers

Since the IB Programme launched at FHS in 2008, 141 students have taken part with 89 receiving the prestigious IB Diploma. 

This year, 136 students are enrolled in pre-IB and IB:  52 freshmen, 36 sophomores, 28 juniors and 20 seniors.

Class of 2016 had an Average ACT Composite of 28.9 , earning a combined $2.7million in scholarships to colleges and universities across the country.  IB students have the opportunity to test out of up to 45 college credits upon graduation from high school. 

FHS IB graduates to date have attended  the University of Pennsylvania, the University of Texas, Rhodes, Tulane, Sewanee, Savannah College of Art & Design, University of Michigan, Birmingham Southern College, UAB (and UAB Medical School),  University of Alabama Honors College, Auburn,  LSU, Sweet Briar, Vanderbilt and many more.
