Wells is pursuing a degree in Biomedical Engineering with a minor in Mathematics at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. He graduates December, 2017.
Lina Tran ‘12
Lina achieved dual degrees in English and Cell and Molecular Biology from Tulane University in May 2016. Today she lives in the DC area as a science writer for NASA, specializing in NASA news and science research.
Tanner Shaw ‘12
Tanner graduated the University of Southern Mississippi in 2016, and lives in Birmingham working as a business valuation consultant for Dixon, Hughes Goodman. He credits IB “with so much of my success in life” and is engaged to marry this summer.
Casey Renka ‘12
Casey attended Rhodes College, and earned a BA with a double major in Psychology and Urban Studies. She’s currently serving a year with AmeriCorps with New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity, working as their Family Services Outreach Coordinator.
Lucy Johnston ‘12
Lucy attended Auburn University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in biomedical sciences. She then began Physician Assistant School at Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, at their Georgia Camus in Suwannee. Lucy will graduate in August, 2018 with a masters in Physician Assistant Studies.
William Nicolson ‘12
William Nicolson is a 2016 Phi Beta Kappa graduate of Rhodes College in Memphis. He lives in Mobile, where he’s in his first years of medical school at the University of South Alabama.
Emily Kyzar-Davis Hale ‘11
Emily graduated Tulane University with a B.A. Honors in Linguistics in 2015. She’s now married and living in Daphne where she works as a computer-aided drafting specialist for a local architecture firm. Emily will be starting a PhD program in Linguistic Anthropology at Tulane with a focus on Mayan epigraphy and historical linguistics.
Erin Oliver ‘11
Erin graduated LSU in 2015 with a degree in Microbiology. She’s currently in graduate school working on a Ph.D in ecology (with a focus on the role of soil microbes in the carbon cycle) in a joint program between San Diego State University and UC-Davis.
